VLN-Based Semantic Exploration

An autonomous mobile robot that understands natural language commands and intelligently explores indoor environments to find and map specified objects.

For example, tell the robot “Find all red objects in the classroom” and watch it autonomously:

  • Explore the environment using Vision-Language Navigation (VLN)
  • Detect target objects with its camera
  • Build an annotated map showing where everything is located
  • Present results without any human intervention

Robot Platform: TurtleBot 4
Environment: Lab 225 (Indoor)
Course: RAS 598 - Mobile Robotics
